How and where Nortia Sundials ships physical products, dispatch and delivery times, costs, and customs.

Shipping & Delivery

This page explains how we deliver Nortia Sundials orders. For our refund and return rules, see the Refunds Policy. For the contract terms, see the Terms.

What ships, and how

Digital products

Digital files are made available immediately upon successful payment:

  1. A download link appears on the order success page.
  2. The same link is included in your order confirmation email.

The link remains valid for 30 days from purchase. If you need the files re-sent after that, email orders@nortiasundials.com with your order number — we are happy to re-send.

By purchasing a digital product you agree to immediate delivery and waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once the download has started. See the Refunds Policy for details.

Physical products

The alignment jig is printed to order for your specific dial dimensions. There is no shelf stock.

Production and dispatch time

  • Production: typically 3–5 business days from order. Each jig is printed individually and inspected before packing.
  • Dispatch: we ship within 5–7 business days of order (production + handover to the carrier).
  • Business days are Monday–Friday excluding Bulgarian public holidays.

You will receive a dispatch email with the tracking number when the parcel leaves us.

Carriers

We ship by standard tracked parcel via Bulgarian Posts (Български пощи), Speedy, or another carrier selected at our discretion based on the destination. All shipments are tracked end-to-end.

Times are estimates based on past shipments and depend on the carrier, customs, and local postal services. Customs delays, public holidays, and severe weather can push these out.

Shipping rates

The shipping rate is calculated at checkout based on your destination country. Rates are shown on the Shop page and confirmed before payment. We charge a flat zone-based rate; we don't add handling fees.

Customs and import duties

  • Within the EU: no customs procedures, no additional duties or import VAT. The price you pay at checkout is the price you pay, full stop.
  • Outside the EU (US, Canada, UK after Brexit, Rest of World): the parcel will pass through customs in the destination country. Import duties, customs fees, and local VAT or sales tax (if any) are the buyer's responsibility, payable to the carrier or customs authority at delivery. We declare the parcel honestly with the order value and a description ("3D-printed sundial alignment jig, plastic, gift not eligible"). We cannot under-declare to avoid customs charges.
  • We provide a commercial invoice with the shipment for customs purposes.

VAT on shipping

For EU buyers, VAT is included in the price shown on the Shop page (destination-country VAT under the EU One-Stop-Shop scheme). Non-EU buyers see the same price excluding VAT.

Address accuracy

You are responsible for providing a correct shipping address. We ship to the address Stripe transmits at checkout. If you discover an error, email us at orders@nortiasundials.com within 24 hours of placing the order. After that, the parcel may already be in production or dispatched and we may not be able to redirect it.

If the parcel is returned to us because the address was wrong or you weren't available to receive it, we'll re-send to a corrected address for the cost of a second shipment.

Lost or significantly delayed parcels

If your parcel hasn't arrived within 30 days of dispatch for EU destinations or 45 days for international destinations, contact us at orders@nortiasundials.com with your order number. We will:

  1. Open a tracking enquiry with the carrier;
  2. If the parcel is confirmed lost or undeliverable, reprint and re-ship at our cost, or refund the order at your choice.

Damaged or wrong items

Cancellation while in production

If you placed an order that has not yet shipped and you ask us to cancel:

  • If production has not yet started, we will cancel and refund in full.
  • If production has started (a jig has already been printed for you), we cannot cancel — the jig is custom-made to your dial specification and has no resale value. This is the buyer-specification exemption under EU Directive 2011/83 Article 16(c) and is explained in our Refunds Policy.

To cancel, email orders@nortiasundials.com with your order number, as soon as possible after ordering.
